Kruger full-day safari

The Kruger full-day safari - a brief summary of what to expect

Experience a full day of game viewing in Kruger with a professional and experienced field guide who can teach you about many of the intricate secrets of this amazing ecosystem.

Our full-day safari starts early in the morning in order to get into Kruger as soon as the gates open.  In the safari game, the proverbial early bird does tend to catch the worm because the first and last few hours of the day are usually the most productive parts of the day for game viewing.  By also stretching the day as long as possible and exiting just before gate closing time, chances of encountering wildlife are optimized to the maximum.  However, these times are not set in stone and can be adjusted according to your needs.

During the course of the safari, we might visit picnic spots and rest camps several times in order to make use of toilet facilities, restaurants, shops, etc.  Your food is not included as part of the safari, but often your lodge/hotel where you reside may prepare a packed breakfast and lunch for you on request.  Alternatively, you may make use of the shops/restaurants in the rest camps for food.

You will be picked up from your lodge/hotel within the Hoedspruit region (typically within a 30km radius of Hoedspruit town) at the predetermined time that suits you, and dropped off there again after the tour is over.  The entire tour, including transport outside of Kruger, will be conducted in an open safari vehicle (OSV).  The vehicle is equipped with side and front covers to protect you against the elements whilst driving on the main roads on the way to the Kruger gates and back to your lodge/hotel.
